How It Started

Back in 1974 a few local couples, who were part of a supper club, decided to put on a play. 46 years later and the rest is history. The group was chartered on May 9, 1975 and included the following founding members: Sue Clohecy, Carol Dispenza, Lou Dispenza, Robert Griffin, Nancy Griffin, Elaine Kimball, Steve Kimball, Audrey Magown, Georgianna Nelson, Harold Nelson, Mary Outram

The "Old Grange" (22 Pleasant St., Georgetown, MA) served as GTWs home for 38 years from 1975-2013.

For a brief stint from 2013 to 2015, the GTW moved to the Sparhawk Upper School (former Amesbury Playhouse) in Amesbury, MA.

GTW moved back to Georgetown in 2016 to Perley Elementary School (51 North St., Georgetown, MA).
