Announcing Auditions for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare, directed by Matthew Lundergan.
WHEN: Sunday August 2nd and Monday August 3rd, with potential callbacks TBA.
WHERE: First Congregational Church - 7 Andover Street in Georgetown, MA 01833.
HOW: Sign up for an audition slot here! Auditions will consists of sides from the script, which will be available on this page closer to the audition date.
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will take place three nights/week at the First Congregational Church in Georgetown, MA and at the Byfield Community Arts center in Byfield, MA. They will begin in early August.
Tech Week: November 1st-5th
Performance dates: November 6th-15th
Seeking a cast of 21 actors of all ages. This is imagined as an intergenerational production with roles for adults and youth performers ages 10+. Please put your preferred role(s) (if any) in the comment when signing up.

Lysander - In love with Hermia, though her father does not want her marrying him
Demetrius - In love with Hermia, her father's choice for marriage
Helena - In love with Demetrius
Hermia - In love with Lysander
ROYALS
Theseus - Duke of Athens
Hyppolita - Queen of the Amazons
Egeus - Father of Hermia
Philostrate - Theseus's Master of Revels
MECHANICALS
Peter Quince - A carpenter, is the company lead for the mechanicals & plays the Prologue for the mechanicals' play
Nick Bottom - A weaver, plays Pyramus in the mechanicals' play
Francis Flute - A bellows-mender, plays Thisbe in the mechanicals' play
Tom Snout - A tinker, plays the wall in the mechanicals' play
Snug - A joiner, plays the lion in the mechanicals' play
Robin Starvling - A tailor, plays the moonshine in the mechanicals' play
FAIRIES
Oberon - King of the fairies, married to Titania
Titania - Queen of the fairies, married to Oberon
Robin Goodfellow "Puck" - Oberon's servant & trickster
Peaseblossom - Fairy in Titania's court
