Georgetown Theatre Workshop is excited to open a call for directing proposals for our 2025-2026 season. For our season we seek a balance of multiple genres (comedy, suspense, drama, romance, family) and a mix of well-known classics and more contemporary fare. We also program one radio play or readers theater offering each season and welcome proposals for scripts to be presented specifically in that format. We're also seeking to produce at least one larger-cast play (works written for 10 to 25 actors). ​

Our season consists of 3 productions. One to be staged in November 2025, one to be staged in March 2026, and one to be staged in May 2026.

Titles we have recently produced or are producing this season include:
Play On, Last Gas, All Because of Agatha, The 39 Steps, The Smell of the Kill, Our Town, War of the Worlds, Making God Laugh, Peter Pan, Murder in the Studio, and Rumors

To submit your initial proposal please fill out this brief google form by November 30, 2024. All submissions will be reviewed by our play selection committee. Finalists will be contacted and may be asked to provide some additional materials or speak to members of our selection committee. Full proposals will be voted on by our full membership by the end of January 2025. All proposers will be kept up to date on the status of their proposals throughout the process.

NOTE: GTW is currently a 100% volunteer run organization. No stipends are offered for our production teams. We are not accepting proposals for musicals at this time.
