Georgetown Theatre Workshop is now accepting directing proposals for our 2026–2027 season, featuring a dynamic mix of productions that celebrate creativity, community, and intergenerational collaboration.

To shape our upcoming season we are seeking: Fall 2026 (November): A large-cast play (10–25 performers) appropriate for family and all-ages audiences, with opportunities for intergenerational casting that bring together children, teens, and adults on stage.

Winter 2027 (March): A radio play or reader’s theater experience, focusing on storytelling, ensemble performance, and imaginative use of voice and sound.

Spring 2027 (May): A modern or contemporary play of any size or genre, offering directors the chance to explore bold ideas, inventive staging, or fresh perspectives.

We welcome proposals for a wide range of plays, genres, and styles. Directors of all experience levels are encouraged to submit. 

GTW is a 100% volunteer-run, member-driven community theatre. While we do not offer stipends or pay, we are a welcoming and affirming organization that values collaboration, creativity, and commitment, and we are always eager to connect with artists who want to contribute to our shared work.

To submit an initial proposal, please complete our brief Google Form below by November 2, 2026.

All proposals will be reviewed by our Play Selection Committee, and finalists may be asked to share additional materials or meet with the committee to discuss their vision. The GTW membership will vote on the final slate of productions in late January 2027, and all proposers will be kept informed throughout the process. We look forward to hearing your ideas and working together to create another memorable season of community theatre.
